Peer Support

Peer Support Services are person-centered activities with a rehabilitation and resiliency/recovery focus.

A peer support specialist is a person who has experienced mental health issues and are now trained to support those who struggle with mental health, psychological trauma, or substance use. Their personal experiences of these challenges provide peer support specialist with expertise that professional training cannot replicate. Peer support assist in achieving goals by offering emotional support, encouragement and engaging individuals and family through common experiences.
